Our History
Founded on Ludlow Street in lower Manhattan, Kaufman Iron Works grew alongside New York City’s building boom. For over a century, we’ve manufactured window security products, ornamental ironwork, and custom metalwork for contractors, property owners, and the building trades.
The Kaufman family has operated the business continuously since 1907, recently welcoming the fifth generation. This continuity means institutional knowledge, established supplier relationships, and a commitment to reputation that only family ownership provides.
